WHAT IS the NEW CADET ORIENTATION PROGRAM (NCOP)?
At the beginning of each semester, new cadets are required to attend an orientation to complete paperwork and receive on-boarding information from the faculty. If you are unable to attend orientation due to personal reasons or schedule conflicts, please send an email to mrae3@charlotte.edu explaining your circumstances. Physical Training (PT) requirements/schedule will be covered during the 15 January AERO 1100 class. New cadets should register for AERO 1100-001 or -002, and either AERO 1101 for Fall or AERO 1102 for Spring. Fall 2025 NCOP DETAILS
Date: 14 August 2025 | Time: 07:30 | Location: Memorial Hall (8904 University Road, Charlotte, NC 28205)
Dress Code: Business Casual (blue or green polo and khakis)
Spring 26 NCOP
Spring 26 NCOP will be conducted in one-on-one sessions with TSgt Rae. Send an email to mrae3@charlotte.edu to schedule an NCOP session.
ORIENTATION REQUIREMENTS:
Please follow these steps to prepare for a successful orientation. Check back periodically for potential updates and additional information that may be required before NCOP.
- Please download and complete these documents using Adobe Reader and email them to the address in step 2. Use this guide to assist you while filling out the documents.
- After the forms are complete, please sign and attach them to an email (example email here) addressed to mrae3@charlotte.edu.
- These forms need to be submitted No Later Than 23 January 2026.
- Create a WINGS account following these instructions.
- Bring your personal laptop, Birth Certificate, Form 28, and Social Security card or passport (do not email) with you on the day of orientation.
APPLYING FOR OUR ACCELERATED PROGRAM
If you are interested in completing the accelerated 3 or 3.5-year program, please contact us to ensure you meet eligibility requirements.
PARKING
There is visitor parking at Cone Deck directly across the street from Memorial Hall (see map for entrance) which charges meter fees by the hour. UNC Charlotte offers a range of parking permit options, including daily parking passes for $8 a day. You can purchase these passes through UNC Charlotte Parking and Transportation Services (https://pats.charlotte.edu/parking/parking-permits/).
